WHERE: Cowichan Lake Education Centre
It is located on a 44 acre property that fronts on Lake Cowichan.
It is a 1 hour drive from Victoria and a 40 minute drive from Nanaimo.

Symposium includes:
Lodging and all meals from dinner Sunday to lunch Saturday.
Complete immersion, daily instruction and mentoring in all phases of
stone sculpting using hand and power tools for all levels.
A wide selection of hand and power tools, safety supplies and stone will be
available for purchase. Air compressor, electricity and water are provided.
Seven days of non-stop fun and creativity
Ongoing field demonstrations and evening workshops
Bring your own: Air and water hoses, electrical cords, rain and sun shelter
protection, ground tarp for stone chips, tools and equipment, enthusiasm and creativity.

Sandy loves to teach people how to carve...and has been doing it for over 40 years! "You may already have the picture of what you want to make in your mind. All you need is the stone, the tools and a mentor to show you how to bring it out of the stone.
Jade Carving Workshop
Deborah Wilson World renown jade carver. For those interested in aquiring the necessary skills and experience, Deborah's intensive workshops are designed to cover all aspects of hardstone sculpture.
Basalt Carving Workshop
Gerda Lattey Gerda is current President of the North West Stone Scuptor's Association. Gerda is an avid stone sculptor interested the direct carve method on a variety of harder stones. She works with a wide assortment of cool tolls like a diamond chainsaw and a ring saw!
